Chapter 20 ~Ezra -A few weeks later- I still can't believe that Aria's only been back in my life for a month. I've had dinner with her and Bridget almost every night, so it felt weird to be sitting in my small apartment eating my takeout alone last night. Aria called me as I was leaving the school and said that she wasn't feeling great, so I probably shouldn't come over. I tried to protest, knowing I could help, but she said that she already had dinner for Bridget and that she'd be fine, so I didn't want to push her. She did agree to let me take Bridget for the day tomorrow, since it's Saturday, so that she could go to the doctor and get better... I pull up to her driveway and see Bridget in the window, waiting for me and can't help but smile. I walk to the door and Bridget hurriedly opens it. "Hi Ezra," she says with a smile. "Hey Bridget," I reply. I look around to see where Aria is, I want to see how she's doing before we leave. "Where's your mom?" I ask, not looking down at Bridget. "On the couch," Bridget replies. "I'm just going to tell her we're leaving, and then we can go," I explain to her as I walk to the living room. Aria is lying on the couch, bundled in blankets. Her skin looks so pale, especially next to her dark hair, she doesn't look well. "Aria," I say as I walk over to her. She made it seem like she just had a cold or something, but she looked more like it was the flu. "Don't get too close," she says, "I don't want you to get whatever I have." I pause ...
